August 31, 2024 is International Overdose Awareness Day: the world's largest annual campaign to end overdose and stigma.
Risewell Community Services will be traveling throughout the town of Babylon with their Mobile Opioid Substance Use Disorder RV to provide overdose education and dispense free Narcan throughout the community. The van will stop at Lindenhurst Library between 11:00 am - 12:00 pm. There will be a nurse, social worker and substance use counselors on the RV available to answer questions about substance use disorders and provide education on the treatment services available throughout our community.
