Museum Pass Policy
Museum passes may be borrowed by Lindenhurst Memorial Library adult library cardholders in good standing, who have agreed to the Museum Pass Policy and Agreement.
Passes may be reserved in person, by phone or online up to 2 months in advance of the desired date, subject to availability. Only one pass may be checked out at a given time. The same museum pass may only be borrowed once in a 30 day period.
There are two different kinds of Museum Passes: Printable and Physical
When booking a pass that is printable, reserve the pass for the date it will be used. You will receive an email with the ticket that can be shown to the Museum upon arrival.
When booking a pass that is physical, reserve the pass for the date it will be picked up from the Library. Museum Passes may be borrowed for up to 3 days and are to be returned to the Customer Service Desk, or in the Book Drop by 12:00pm on the due date. Passes due back on Sunday must be returned by 2:00pm in person, or placed in the Book Drop the night before.
In order to ensure that the Museum Pass will be available for the next patron, a late fee of $10 per day will be issued for passes not returned on time. If the pass is lost, a replacement fee of $100-$500 will be issued based on what the individual museum charges for replacement. Failure to pick up the passes, and/or frequent cancellations may result in an inability to reserve future passes.
The library is not responsible for museum hours, closings, and parking fees. We suggest calling the museum prior to visiting or for any additional questions.
