Please not that it takes two years for kale to complete its growth cycle, seed saving should take place at the end of the second year

Allow kale to go to seed, resulting in huge plants and yellow blossoms, these blossoms will drop and dry into long, skinny seed pods

Wait until seed pods are fully mature with dark, almost black, seeds inside

Harvest pods and spread seeds out to dry for approximately two weeks
