King of the North Pepper
  • Capsicum annuum

  • Growing Instructions

    • Peppers germinate best in warm soil

    • Start indoors 8 weeks before last frost

    • Wait to transplant outdoors until soil is warm

    • Plant 12-24" apart, at a depth of ¼"

    • Ready to harvest approximately 70 days from transplant

  • Seed Saving

    • Select a full ripe pepper, it should be easy to pick and have softer skin

    • First slice off the bottom of the pepper and squeeze/roll out as many seeds as possible

    • Slice pepper in half and remove the placenta (center) of the pepper

    • Remove seeds from the placenta either manually, or allow to dry out for easier removal

    • Allow seeds to fully dry for at least a week

    • Seeds should be stored in a cool, dry place and are viable for several years, storing in a sealed container in the refrigerator works well
