Seed Saving

Broccoli needs cross pollination, making it more challenging to seed save

Allow the head you are saving from to fully mature and become yellow

Flowers on the head will bloom and then turn into pods

Once the pods dry on the plant, remove the plant from the ground and hang to dry for two weeks

Remove the pods from the plant and crush them to release the seeds

Store in a cool, dry place. Seeds are viable for up to five years
