The library will close to the public on August 15 so we can begin the process of unpacking 1,400 boxes of materials, receiving furniture and shelving, and setting up our new public areas!
We anticipate reopening our doors at the end of September, with a public ribbon cutting ceremony to follow in the fall. We can’t wait to show the community its new space! Tell us – what are you most looking forward to seeing in the new building? Email info@lindenhurstlibrary.org to let us know!
Physical and Digital Collections
While our collection will be temporarily unavailable, Library materials can be borrowed and picked up at any Suffolk County Public Library location, using your Lindenhurst Library card.
Our book return bin will remain open in its current spot, to the side of the entrance door by the bike repair station. To reserve library materials, use the County Catalog and choose the library of your choice for pickup. Digital Library materials are available to you 24/7. Access our wide variety of entertainment and educational resources on your phone, tablet, smart TV, or computer by visiting our Digital Services webpage.
