National Library Week

As National Library Week 2025 (April 6-12) approaches, it's time to celebrate the amazing resource we have right here in our community: the library! This year's theme, "Drawn to the Library," perfectly captures the many reasons why we flock to the library, whether it's for the perfect book, a quiet read, a research project, a fun program, or simply a place to connect.

Why Libraries Matter:

  • A Hub for Learning:
Libraries are more than just collections of books; they're centers of learning, offering resources for all ages and interests.
  • Free and Accessible:
Libraries provide free access to information, technology, and programs, making them a valuable resource for everyone.
  • Community Connections:
Libraries foster a sense of community, bringing people together through shared interests and activities.
  • Sparking Curiosity:
From story times for kids to book clubs for adults, libraries offer opportunities to explore new ideas and expand our horizons.

How to Celebrate National Library Week:

  • Take Time to Visit the Library: Explore the stacks, attend a program, or simply relax with a good book.
  • Spread the Word: Share your love for libraries with friends and family.
  • Participate in Programs: We have so many fun, informative, and unique activities going on during National Library Week, so check our Calendar of Events
  • Check out the online resources: We have a lot of online resources available, so make sure to take advantage of them.

This National Library Week, let's show our appreciation for the incredible role libraries play in our lives. Let's get drawn to the library and celebrate the power of knowledge, community, and connection!
