Plot:The book is about a 15 year old, African-American kid named Tyrell whose dad is in jail for selling narcotics and his mom doesn't have a job. His mom can not afford rent. He, his mom, and his younger brother named Troy just got evicted and now have to live in the New York City Housing Authority's Emergency Assistance Unit. While he is there he comes up with a plan. He will throw a paid block party and plans to charge admissions, even though he can't get a permit to throw it, in an attempt to help his family have a normal life again.
Review: I really liked this book. I like the plot and the ending was very unexpected. I would to recommend this book to anyone who likes to learn about people and their experiences they went through.
