As a painter, Sica finds inspiration in observing the phenomenon of light- whether the fall of natural or artificial light on still life objects, or on the face and form of the human figure.
Frenal Mezilas was born in Haiti and studied at the Ecole Nationale des Arts and then continued his scholarship in Mexico. Mezilas teaches painting, drawing and pottery in New York.
As part of the fundraising effort for the “Windows on Wellwood” project, 232 blue and 17 engraved gold stars were purchased to honor living or deceased veterans.
